Barito Renewables' subsidiary, Star Energy Geothermal Salak (SEGS) is collaborating with the Gunung Halimun Salak National Park Center (BTNGHS) to release Javanese Eagles as part of a series of events for The 10th Indonesia International Geothermal Convention & Exhibition (IIGCE) 2024. This year, Star Energy was elected as the chair of the IIGCE committee, thereby hosting IIGCE field trips.

The Javan Eagle is one of the priority animals that has been determined by the Directorate General of Conservation of Natural Resources and Ecosystems (Ditjen KSDAE) through the Decree of the Director General of KSDAE Number: 180/IV-KKH/2015 concerning the Determination of 25 Priority Threatened Animals to increase their population. The Javan Eagle is also an endangered animal on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) list.

In a period of 11 years, SEGS together with the TNGHS Center have released nine eagles. Last year, the SEGS area was also chosen to release two Brontok Eagles and one Javan Leopard. This collaboration is a concrete manifestation of our commitment to preserving biodiversity.
